About
Built by people who have sat on both sides of the table.
URHIRED AI started as a tool we wanted for ourselves — something that would hold the thread when the pressure made us lose it.
Our story
We have run interviews and we have failed them. The pattern that kept showing up was the same on both sides of the table: strong engineers, blanking on things they knew cold, because a stranger was watching and a clock was running.
The tools that existed were either practice simulators that did nothing during the round that counted, or thin wrappers that returned a paragraph of text and left you to do the rest. So we built the thing we wanted: three purpose-built surfaces, frontier models, and an overlay that stays out of the screen share.
Mission
Close the gap between what someone can do and what they can demonstrate in forty-five minutes with a stranger.
Vision
Hiring decisions that track actual capability, not who happened to be calm that morning or who could afford a coach.
What we believe
Four things we hold to
Performance is not competence
Plenty of excellent engineers interview badly. That gap is a measurement problem, not a talent problem, and it is the one we build against.
Say what the product does
We describe features in terms of what they actually do. If something is a limitation, we write it down rather than hoping you do not notice.
Built for the real thing
Not a practice simulator with a live mode bolted on. Every decision — latency, hotkeys, the overlay — assumes a real interview in progress.
Respect the user
No dark patterns in billing, no fake urgency, no invented testimonials. You can cancel in two clicks from inside the app.
The team
We are a small team of engineers and designers. If you want to reach us directly, we read everything sent to hello@urhiredai.com.
