Our position
Where we stand on AI in interviews.
It is a fair question and it deserves a straight answer rather than a paragraph of hedging buried in the terms.
What we built, and why
The technical interview measures two things at once: whether you can do the job, and whether you can perform under observation on a timer. Those are different skills, and only one of them shows up in the work afterward.
People who have done the work for a decade still blank on a definition they use weekly. People coming back from a career break lose the vocabulary for their own experience. URHIRED AI exists for the gap between what you know and what you can produce with someone watching.
What we ask of you
Follow the rules of the process you agreed to enter. Some companies now explicitly allow AI assistance and are more interested in how you use it than whether you use it. Many do not allow it. That distinction is real, and we are not going to pretend otherwise to make a sale.
If you have been told no AI, that includes this app. If disclosure is required, disclose. You are the one in the room, and the decision is yours to make.
What we will not do
We are not building against proctoring software. If an assessment is proctored, that is a deliberate, disclosed condition of the process, and defeating it is not a product we want to make.
We also will not fabricate social proof. No invented user counts, no purchased reviews, no testimonials from people who do not exist.
Hints mode exists for exactly this reason
Set the answer style to Hints and the copilot nudges you toward the answer instead of handing it over. It is the right mode for practice, for take-homes where you want to stay honest, and for anyone who would rather leave the interview having actually learned something.
Use it the way you want to be hired
Free plan, all three surfaces, including Hints mode.
